Privacy Policy
CNRY ("CNRY," "we," "us") operates cnrysensor.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We collect only what we need to tell you about CNRY and, once it is available, to fulfill your orders.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist sign-ups. When you ask to be notified about CNRY, we collect your email address, the product you are interested in, and the date you signed up.
- Orders. When ordering opens, checkout is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Through checkout we receive your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, the items you ordered, and the amount paid. We never receive or store your full card number. Payment card details go directly to Stripe.
- Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
- IP address. To protect the Site from abuse, we temporarily record your IP address with a count of recent requests (for example, sign-up and checkout attempts). These records expire on their own, generally within about an hour.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested in order to deliver and secure the Site.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or session-recording tools on the Site.
How we use information
- To email you when CNRY becomes available, and with related product news you asked for.
- To process payments, ship orders, provide receipts, and handle returns and support requests.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that operate the Site on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare (hosting, security, and data storage) and Stripe (payment processing). Stripe's use of your information is also governed by its own privacy policy.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our customers, CNRY, or others.
- A successor business if CNRY is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Cookies and local storage
- Shopping bag. The items in your bag are saved in your own browser's local storage so they are still there when you return. This information stays on your device until you check out or clear it.
- Staff sign-in. Authorized CNRY staff who sign in to the store's administration area receive a strictly necessary, secure session cookie. Visitors do not receive this cookie.
Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, the Site does not show a cookie consent banner. We honor Global Privacy Control signals. We do no tracking for them to turn off, but we will also treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of any future sale or sharing.
How long we keep information
- Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer needed to announce CNRY.
- Order records: as long as needed to provide support and warranty service and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, which is typically seven years.
- Abuse-prevention records: generally about an hour, as described above.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither); and
- not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. To protect you, we may need to confirm your identity, for example by replying to the email address on file. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, as the law allows, we will tell you. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within the time required by law.
State privacy rights
California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you the rights described above. In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information:
- identifiers, such as name, email address, postal address, phone number, and IP address;
- commercial information, such as products purchased; and
- internet activity, limited to the security logs described above.
We collected them from you directly and from your device, for the purposes listed in "How we use information." We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise the equivalent rights by contacting us as described above.
Security
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment details are processed by Stripe, which is certified to the PCI Data Security Standard. Access to customer information is limited to authorized staff using individually assigned, password-protected accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and funeral-service professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The CNRY device and app
This policy covers the Site. The CNRY sensor and companion app will collect exposure readings and related data. A separate privacy notice will describe how that data is handled before the app is released.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site and our products change. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as by email.
